Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

Folsom Money Watch (“the site”) is an independent, unpaid, nonpartisan public-records project. It republishes and summarizes publicly filed campaign-finance information for Folsom City Council elections. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. Public records, provided “as is”

The information here is compiled from public filings made available through the City of Folsom’s campaign-disclosure portal and the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). It is provided for general public information on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind. Transcription and summarization can introduce error; the official filings themselves are the authoritative record. Where the site and a filing disagree, the filing controls. If you believe something is inaccurate, please use the corrections form.

2. No advice, no allegation of wrongdoing

Nothing on the site is legal, financial, voting, or political advice. The site reports what the filings disclose; it does not tell anyone how to vote, does not endorse or oppose any candidate, and does not allege wrongdoing by any candidate, committee, or contributor. Independent expenditures and contributions described here are lawful and were publicly disclosed by the filers.

3. No commercial or solicitation use of the data

The names and information published here are provided for transparency and non-commercial public information only. You may not use any name, or any other information obtained from this site, for commercial purposes or to solicit contributions, donations, sales, or other business. This restriction mirrors the public policy that campaign-disclosure information is provided for public accountability, not for commercial exploitation.

4. Independence

Folsom Money Watch is not authorized by, affiliated with, or coordinated with any candidate, campaign committee, political party, political club, or the City of Folsom. It accepts no money, purchases no advertising, and pays no one. Every candidate and committee is presented from the same public filings using the same method.

5. Images and attribution

Official council portraits are public records obtained from folsom.ca.us. Challenger photographs are used solely to identify the candidate depicted. If you hold rights in an image used here and would like it changed or removed, contact the project through the corrections form and we will respond promptly.

6. Links

The site links to third-party sources, including the Folsom disclosure portal and the FPPC. Those sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content.

7. Contact

The corrections form is the way to reach the project — for corrections, image requests, or any other matter.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
